High School Early Experience Students

Interested in taking college classes while you're in high school? With our High School Early Experience program, you can explore subjects you can鈥檛 study in high school, and get a jump start on your academic career with 快活app course credits.

  • What is the Early Experience Program?

    High school juniors and seniors take undergraduate courses through our Early Experience Program. They continue pursuing their high school diplomas while simultaneously taking college classes at 快活app each quarter.

  • Which courses do Early Experience students take?

    Students sign up for classes that supplement and enrich their high school curriculum. Most early experience students take one to two classes per quarter. They often enroll in courses that aren鈥檛 available at their high schools.

  • How do I select my courses?

    翱耻谤听Center for Academic Advising听offers guidance for early experience students. They鈥檒l assist you with course selection, registration and academic planning.

  • Can I earn college credits through Early Experience?

    Yes, you can earn college credits through our Early Experience Program. If you later choose to attend 快活app as an听undergraduate student, we鈥檒l add all of your Early Experience courses to your academic record.

  • Can course credits be transferred to other colleges and universities?

    Yes, you can transfer credits that you鈥檝e earned through our Early Experience Program to other universities. Transfers are subject to the credit policies of other institutions. You can request your official 快活app transcripts online through the Office of the Registrar.

  • What does EEP cost?

    You must pay an application fee of $65. If admitted, you鈥檒l receive a half-tuition scholarship. You鈥檒l be responsible for all other fees or charges associated with your course(s).听Additional information about tuition and fees can be found here.

  • Who鈥檚 eligible to apply?

    If you鈥檙e a high school junior or senior who meets our requirements, we鈥檒l consider you for admission. We may make exceptions for highly qualified first- and second-year high school students.

  • Do you have a GPA requirement?

    Most early experience students have a 3.5 GPA or higher and rank in the top 15 percent of their class.

Application Process

Our college application process takes around one month from application to decision. We鈥檒l notify you of your status after we receive and review all application materials. We cannot consider incomplete applications.

  • Required materials
    • Parent Approval Form
    • School Approval Form听with a written recommendation regarding preparedness for college work
    • Official transcripts of all secondary work to date with a minimum 3.5 GPA
    • List of courses in progress and courses planned for the current or upcoming year
    • $65 application fee


    Depending on your courses, you may need to meet other admission requirements (e.g. theatre or music auditions).

  • Completing your application

    Complete the听听and upload, email or mail additional materials to Undergraduate Admission.

  • Application deadlines

    We must receive all materials at least one month prior to the quarter in which you wish to enroll.

    • Fall Quarter: August 1
    • Winter Quarter: December 1
    • Spring Quarter: February 15
    • Summer Quarter: May 1
  • Permission to continue

    Before each quarter, we evaluate your permission to continue in our program. If you register for any academic term without permission, we鈥檒l charge you 快活app's full tuition rate.

    We reserve the right to withdraw a student from this program at any time. Poor academic performance or misconduct related to academics or behavior may be grounds for dismissal.

  • Additional information

    Enrollment is subject to space availability and course prerequisites.

    All students in this program enroll as non-degree candidates.
