COVID-19 Update: Flu vaccinations on campus starting today

Dear ¿ì»îapp community members,

Last week the ¿ì»îappÌýannouncedÌýÌýfor all on-campus students, faculty and staff, in accordance with CDC recommendations. To assist with this new requirement, ¿ì»îapp'sÌýÌý(HCC) is making flu vaccines available, free of charge, to all on-campus students, faculty and staff.

Starting today we will be staffing flu clinics on campus, with additional dates and times through the fall.

Schedule of flu clinics

  • Daily, Mon–FriÌý@ the COVID-19 Testing PodÌý(8:30 a.m.–12 p.m., 1–4 p.m., through the end of October)
  • Today,ÌýOct 19Ìý@ÌýDriscoll GreenÌý(12–2 p.m.)
  • Thursday, Oct 22Ìý@ Anderson Academic GreenÌý(11:30 a.m.–3Ìýp.m.)
  • Monday, Oct 26Ìý@ Driscoll Green (12–2Ìýp.m.)
  • Thursday, Oct 29Ìý@ Anderson Academic GreenÌý(11:30 a.m.–3Ìýp.m.)

Faculty and Staff who wish to receive the flu vaccine on campus must go to one of the above-listed pop-up clinics to do so. Students may additionally receive their vaccinations through the HCC itself.

All on-campus students, faculty and staff must show proof of vaccination, or submit a completed exemption form, by December 15.

Vaccine Exemptions

The University understands not everyone will be in a position to receive an influenza vaccination. The state of Colorado allows certain exemptions for medical and nonmedical reasons, and ¿ì»îapp will honor such exemptions for the influenza vaccination. You must submit aÌýÌýif you wish to be exempt from this requirement.

Please, #¿ì»îappYourPart and find a time soon to protect yourself and ourÌýcommunity against this illness. Influenza and COVID-19 can present similar symptoms and can occur simultaneously. The flu virus itself can pose serious health risks to members of our community in any flu season, but coupled with the risk of COVID-19, it is crucial that we doÌýwhat we can to mitigate the dangers of infection.
