COVID Update: Returning to Work On-Campus Protocols

As Chancellor HaefnerÌýshared last week, faculty and staff who have been working remotely are expected to begin returningÌýto campusÌýover theÌýsummer in advance of our anticipated full return for the fall term. We look forward to welcoming new and returning community members to campus in the coming weeks.

Details about the changes in protocols and what you need to do before returning to campus for work are available on theÌý¿ì»îapp Your PartÌýwebsite. I will also share a brief checklist below.

FullyÌýVaccinated IndividualsÌý
  1. As soon as possible (at minimum, one week before your expected first day back on campus), upload your proof of vaccination card toÌýMyHealth, found on theÌýHealth and Counseling Center website.ÌýYou are considered fully vaccinatedÌýtwoÌýweeks after your final dose. Please plan accordingly.
  2. ReceiveÌýa negative COVID-19 testÌýresultÌýon or before yourÌýfirst day back on campus at the on-campusÌýtestingÌýlocations,ÌýwhichÌýareÌýaccessible to individuals with or without campus clearance.ÌýSaliva-based PCR testingÌýisÌýavailableÌýwithout an appointment.ÌýUploaded records of negativeÌýnasal swab PCRÌýtests fromÌýoutside providersÌýwill also be accepted.Ìý
  3. You can resume on-campus work and activities once your campus access status reads ‘Cleared’ onÌýPioneerWeb. Allow a few days after submitting your negative test and proof of vaccination.Ìý
  4. Continue to monitor yourself forÌý; if you have symptoms, promptly test.
ÌýNotÌýFully Vaccinated or UnvaccinatedÌýIndividualsÌý
  1. Indicate the date you intend to return to campusÌýthrough theÌýCOVID-19 Vaccination Portal onÌýPioneerWeb.
  2. Please plan to be vaccinated and upload your vaccine record before your planned start date. Until full vaccination (twoÌýweeks followingÌýyourÌýfinal dose), please follow all requirements for not fully vaccinated individuals. If you would like to request aÌýCOVID-19 vaccineÌýexemption,Ìýas soon as possible (at minimum, one week before your expected first day back on campus), upload your vaccination exemptionÌýrequestÌýtoÌýMyHealth, found on theÌýHealth and Counseling Center website.
  3. Within 48 hoursÌý²ú±ð´Ú´Ç°ù±ðÌýyour expected first day back,Ìýreceive a negative PCR COVID-19 testÌýresultÌýat the on-campus testingÌýlocations, whichÌýareÌýaccessible to individuals with or without campus clearance. Saliva-based PCR testingÌýisÌý²¹±¹²¹¾±±ô²¹²ú±ô±ðÌýwithout an appointment. Uploaded records of negative nasal swab PCR tests from outside providers will also be accepted.
  4. Quarantine for seven days, logging daily on the quarantine log onÌýPioneerWeb.
  5. You are required to continue to wear a mask on campus andÌýsuggested toÌýmaintain social distancingÌýwherever feasible.
  6. Continue to monitor yourselfÌýforÌýÌýsymptoms andÌýcomplete the daily logÌýon the Symptom Daily Tracker onÌýPioneerweb.ÌýEverbridge may still be used through the middle of August for symptom tracking if you prefer.Ìý
Not required for summer or fall 2021ÌýentryÌý
  • The Pathway Back to Campus Canvas course
  • Flu vaccinationÌýfor summer or fallÌýentry;Ìýwhen newÌýfluÌývaccines become available, we anticipate a flu vaccine requirement.
  • ElectronicÌýcontract tracing or symptom monitoring via the Everbridge application

As we return to campus, note that individual and unit return timelinesÌýwillÌývary.ÌýPlease consult with your supervisor, dean or division lead for more information about your return timelineÌýso you may plan to complete the above steps accordingly.
