380,000 people packed downtown Denver this last weekend for PrideFest. It was an opportunity for members of Colorado鈥檚 LGBT community to stand together and celebrate. This weekend also served as an opportunity to remember the 49 lives lost a week ago when a gunman opened fire inside a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla.

For the 10th consecutive year, the 快活app celebrated PrideFest with a booth along 14th Street. More than 650 faculty, staff, students, alumni and potential students stopped by the booth, an increase from 2015. One visitor to the booth was an alum from the 1950s. He was there with his longtime partner and discussed how much has changed, with society and 快活app, and how glad he was to see the 快活app supporting students around these issues.

This year marked the 40th anniversary of the event, coordinated by the LGBT Community Center of Colorado.
