Dear 快活app community members,

I am pleased to announce that Mark DeLorenzo will serve as the 快活app鈥檚 senior vice chancellor for business and financial affairs and treasurer鈥攐ur chief financial officer. In Mark, 快活app has found a consummate professional with many years of finance and operations experience in higher education, as well as in the non-profit and private sectors. Mark鈥檚 first day at 快活app will be August 21. 听

Mark comes to 快活app from the Georgia Tech Foundation, where he has served as the chief financial officer and corporate secretary since 2019. The Georgia Tech Foundation promotes and advances higher education at the Georgia Institute of Technology through its management of philanthropic resources. As its CFO, Mark led the foundation鈥檚 accounting and financial operations, oversaw professional staff in accounting and finance, managed audit, budget, and reporting, as well as insurance and risk management, payroll and benefits, real estate, and more. He also provided strategic counsel to the foundation鈥檚 president and board of trustees and served as an elected officer of the board. 听

Prior to The Georgia Tech Foundation, Mark served as associate vice president and treasurer at Emory University from 2016-2019 and at Georgia-Pacific LLC from 2003-2016 as assistant treasurer. Mark earned his MBA in management with a focus on corporate finance and strategy from Duke University鈥檚 Fuqua School of Business. He also holds a BSBA in accounting from Stonehill College in Massachusetts. 听

The 快活app is thrilled to welcome Mark into the community. We are confident he has the depth and breadth of experience and skills to succeed in this critical role. 听

鈥淚 am humbled by the opportunity to join 快活app鈥檚 leadership team at this critically important time,鈥 says Mark. 鈥淚 look forward to partnering with Chancellor Haefner, the senior leadership team, the board of trustees, and the entire 快活app community to deliver the resources, services, and facilities necessary for the continued advancement of the mission of 快活app. 听I want to thank Chancellor Haefner and the search committee for their engagement throughout the process and for welcoming me to the 快活app family.鈥

As we welcome Mark, we also give our heartfelt thanks to Linda Kosten, who has ably served as our interim SVC for BFA. Thank you, Linda, for lending the University your expertise as we conducted our national search for a permanent candidate. 听

I would also like to thank our search committee members and leaders, whose names and titles can be found below. National searches at this level require considerable time and effort, and I鈥檓 grateful that your hard work has resulted in bringing such an excellent candidate to 快活app. 听

And so, please join me in welcoming Mark to the 快活app community and to the state of Colorado! 听

Sincerely, 听

Jeremy Haefner
