As we approach the holiday season, I want to express my profound thanks for your many contributions throughout the year. As a small expression of gratitude, the University will close at noon the day prior to Thanksgiving break, Wednesday, Nov. 27, and the day before winter break, Tuesday, Dec. 24. 听
I hope you all enjoy this time to relax or spend time with friends and loved ones. And thank you again for contributing to this great community.

From Human Resources & Inclusive Excellence: Pre-Holiday Half-Day Procedures
-Are you a benefited salary employee planning on taking either Nov. 27 or Dec. 24 off?听You will only need to report a half-day of vacation (3.75 hours) to receive a full day of pay.听
-Are you a benefited hourly employee scheduled to work a full day on either Nov. 27 or Dec. 24?听You will be paid for a full 7.5-hour day even though your time card will reflect the half-day closure.
-Are you a benefited employee deemed 鈥渆ssential,鈥 or are you an employee covered by a collective bargaining agreement?听Please refer to your normal departmental processes and procedures regarding University closures and consult your supervisor with any questions.听
Additionally, the Ritchie Center will maintain planned operations. Customer-facing operations, such as campus tours, will also remain in effect, so these employee鈥檚 schedules will remain unchanged.听听
