While students from the ¿ì»îapp and University of California at Berkeley are working through 90-degree heat to build a house, you can track their progress from the comfort of your air-conditioned home or office.

Last week, with the help of Sensera Systems, a camera was installed for the public to observe the construction progress on a home that will compete in the 2017 Solar Decathlon. Students from ¿ì»îapp’sÌýÌýpartnered with students from UC Berkeley for the international competition. They make up one of 12 collegiate teams participating in theÌý.

Construction is taking place at a parking lot on the northeast side of campus. The construction webcam refreshes every few minutes and captures a single image. All the images are then put together to create a time-lapse of the project. To view the live camera, please clickÌý.

Once construction of the house is complete, it will be disassembled and moved to the competition site at 61st and Peña Station.
