Staying social over this weekend

Dear students,

As this week comes to a close, I have heard many of you mention the uptick in academic work that typifies this time of the quarter. I hope that, in addition to focusing on your studies, you will take some time this weekend for self-care to relax, restore and recharge. There are many ways to stay active and connected while following ¿ì»îapp's, the city's and the state's protocols and restrictions meant to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.Ìý

With the fall winds in full swing and the mornings now a bit crispier, this is a terrific time to go for a bike ride on one of Denver’s manyÌý, or for a get-together with a few of your good friends for a picnic at one of theÌýparksÌýnearby campus. Perhaps it’s the mountains that move you? In that case, hiking one of Colorado’sÌýÌýmight be exactly what you need.Ìý

On campus and in nearby Denver neighborhoods, there are a number of opportunities for you to gather with friends, old and new. Here is a snapshot of just a few of the events occurring this weekend:

Have you seen the pop-up games sprouting up on green spaces around campus? Keep an eye on theÌýÌýInstagram stories to find out where we'll be setting up here and there throughout the week with life-size games you can play between classes.Ìý

For those of you who may want to connect through sports and other indoor/outdoor recreational activities, you can find a range of options offered daily at the Ritchie Center throughÌý.

As Athletics and Recreation expands its offerings, opportunities to use theÌý, theÌý, andÌýÌýare also all open to you.

You can always find more events from undergraduate student orgs onÌý, and more information about activities for grad students on theÌýÌýInstagram.

Additionally, the Health & Counseling Center continues to offer their popularÌýsupport groups. Interested inÌýlearning more about wellbeing? And team in health promotion would be happy to meet with you and talk about steps you can take to be a healthier you.Ìý
