Update on 快活app's web overhaul project for October 2020
During the past month, 快活app moved 232 new pages to Drupal and launched the (MFJS) site. This launch represents another step forward in the migration of department websites for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS). Along with MFJS, this year CAHSS has launched six other department sites, including Languages, Literatures & Cultures; Spanish; Prison Arts Initiative; Museum of Anthropology; Anthropology; and the Ethnography Lab.
The total number of pages that have migrated to Drupal is now at 9,428. We still have many sites and many pages to migrate and in preparation for that work, it is important to ensure digital collaboration across both business and academic units. With that in mind, MarComm is planning to reconvene a governance committee in order to come together in partnership as we embark on the final stage of the web overhaul. We will likely also form a smaller governance sub-committee to discuss content strategy. The purpose of convening will be to:
- Identify key stakeholders and points of contact as we embark on Fastspot鈥檚 first phase of the migration
- Review content management and data integrations to ensure that content flow is efficient, understand how system flows could break down, and align around functionality to ensure overall efficiencies and facilitate easier content management and publishing by the units
