  • Important information about COVID-19 Vaccination and Quarantine Requirements for International Students

    COVID-19 Vaccination:

    • If you have received a COVID-19 vaccine, please upload proof of your vaccination to the . If you have received a vaccine that is not approved by the , but which has been approved in another country, you are not required to be vaccinated again at this time.
    • If you can鈥檛 receive a COVID-19 vaccine before arriving to campus, we will arrange for you to receive a COVID-19 vaccine after you arrive to campus. We will send you more information in the coming months about vaccination. You will be required to wear a face mask and regularly test for COVID-19 until you are fully vaccinated, but you will still be able to attend classes in-person and do other activities on campus. You do not need to come to campus early to receive your vaccine.

    Quarantine Requirements: You will be required to quarantine at home for 10-14 days before traveling to the 快活app and to answer a symptom questionnaire online during the quarantine. If you are not fully vaccinated, when you arrive on campus you may be asked to continue to answer a symptom questionnaire until you are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after your second shot for a two-dose vaccine, or 2 weeks after your first shot for a single-dose vaccine). You do not need to quarantine in the US.

  • English Proficiency Testing & Required Courses

    If you are a non-native English speaker, you will听take English Language courses within the听LAUNCH curriculum听as part of your degree at 快活app. These classes count for your degree听and will also help you acclimate to learning and studying in the United States. Placement in these courses is be based on your submitted English proficiency scores (TOEFL,听IELTS, or CAE) or the results of the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA).

    If you are a transfer student and you have completed 30 semester credits at an English-speaking institution you may be exempted from the LAUNCH curriculum requirement.听To learn more about听the LAUNCH curriculum, placement, and exemptions, click here.

  • Tuition & billing

    The total cost of attending 快活app can be estimated by combining direct costs like tuition, health insurance, room and board with indirect costs such as books and transportation. We update these estimates each year, and you can view our current total cost on this page.

  • First-Year Seminar Program

    The First-Year Seminar (FSEM) Program offers students an introduction to the intellectual life of the University. Offered in the Fall quarter, the small class size provides an in-depth academic experience that is rigorous and engaging. In addition to developing self-motivated academic passion, students can expect to hone the academic skills essential for successful college work.

    Each seminar focuses on one or more of the following academic skills: writing, critical reading and thinking, discussion, argumentation and debate, and information literacy. This program enables students to engage with faculty in the exploration of novel and challenging topics, and lays the groundwork for extraordinary academic and personal growth.

    All new first-year students are required to take an FSEM course. Transfer students are exempt from the FSEM course requirement. For more information on the First-Year Seminar Program and how to register, please visit their听website.
