In the spring, we temporarily paused the search for our new vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion (VCDEI) after receiving helpful feedback on what our faculty, students, and staff truly want from this role. We learned that ¿ì»îapp yearns for a VCDEI that can speak to and represent the breadth of our community. As such, we changed the position description to more accurately reflect this shared goal.Ìý
It is with great excitement that I welcome our new Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Clark who will join us tomorrow for her first day at the ¿ì»îapp!
The ¿ì»îapp is working creatively to ensure we will have options for international students to stay compliant with their immigration requirements under a variety of scenarios that might come about in the fall.
In the spirit ofÌýcongratulationsÌýand with the utmost gratitude, I would like to announce that, on October 9, 2020, Don Harris will retire as the ¿ì»îapp’s vice chancellor of information technology & chief information officer (VCIT & CIO).
